Yum! Now on to the good stuff….

As women our “shapes” are always changing, things get bigger, smaller, lower, rounder, flatter, etc, etc, etc. I keep finding things in my closet that looked awesome, not so long ago, but seem like outrageous wear-in-public options now. So how do we keep track of what size we should wear and when do we clean out the things we swore we’d fit again? Boys have it so easy….but here are a few tips to keep ladies looking gorgeous at any shape!

As I always say, Foundation is where fashion starts, so lets start with my favorite topic: Bras!

-You should get professionally sized for traditional bras every 6 months if possible (For tips on how to measure yourself grab a soft measuring tape and head over to ) A good bra will hug you without digging, gaping in the front, or riding up in the back.

- Don’t be afraid of a little shapewear! There are some great shaping options out there that are designed to flatter your shape and smooth things out under clothing for a polished look. Lose the muffin-tops, panty lines or whale tails!

-When shopping, look for styles that fit your body type and allow you to move comfortably. If you are a pear or triangle shape try wearing a belt to highlight your small waist, and if you are an apple try wearing bottoms that create the illusion of more hips and show off your legs. Find some great tips and outfit ideas at !

-Bring some shaper/bra options along in your purse to see what items will actually look like with the right things underneath (ex. when looking for a strapless summer dress,  always bring a strapless bra along).

- Wearing small clothes does not make you look smaller…. Find clothes that flatter your actual size and shape and you will be more comfortable and look better!

- Use color blocking to draw the eye to assets and away from… well, you know! Darker colors tend to minimize things a bit, and bright colors highlight.

-If you haven’t worn it in the last year, and especially if it still has tags on it, its time to let it go. Look for consignment shops in your area to trade or get cash for new or gently used clothing or donate items to a women’s shelter (You’ll feel great knowing that your things will be loved by women who really need them and you can usually write off charitable donations on your taxes!)

-Nothing is sexier than a high heel! Add heels to make your legs look a little longer and more toned.

Happy shopping beauties!
